Radiator manufacturer turns the temporary employment sector upside down

Being able to count on qualified and motivated temporary workers throughout the year is of vital importance to our client, a radiator manufacturer in the south of the Netherlands. Depending on the market situation, between 20 and 70 flexible colleagues are needed each week. More than ten temporary employment agencies proposed candidates, many of them hardly suitable, difficult to motivate or not very loyal.

Coincidence does not exist
A chance meeting with BVO & Partners brought new hope. Not only did we guarantee a definitive end to the enormous internal capacity that our client lost to its external hiring of personnel, but the reliability and quality of people would also make an enormous leap forward. And the costs could be reduced significantly: up to a few euros per hour! The hourly rates contained sky-high margins of which the temporary worker saw very little; the agencies all the more.

Preferred versus approved supplier
But that's over. BVO & Partners has introduced a totally different outsourcing model, where not the hours count, but the output. Not a multitude of agencies, but one preferred supplier with a few approved suppliers, at predetermined tariff components. The various agencies had to put up with it for a while: this form of contracting was totally different from what they were used to. There was no room for traditional thinking and earning patterns. Only the best would be able to achieve this.

Reliable staff at a much lower cost
The transition has given our client a completely new perspective on external personnel. And not unimportantly: on the prominent role an employment agency can play in this for much less money. The result: a very satisfied client, two happy employment agencies and loyal and motivated staff, at very competitive hourly rates.
