"Never mind, I've got it all taken care of."

Many of our customers had the same conviction. Unfortunately, it often turned out to be the opposite. We almost always discover significant cost overruns. This is often the result of (too) one-sidedly drawn up contracts from the suppliers and a lack of subject matter expertise on the part of the customer. In addition, many of our customers appear to run unacceptable risks, while the customer pays the supplier to take on these risks.

Proud of cooperation with Stichting Juzt

Since March 1, 2019, BVO & Partners has taken over the entire facilities organization for all accommodation and office locations of Juzt. With an in-house Central Services Reporting Point, BVO is responsible for all technical and structural maintenance, damage and defects to buildings and furniture, breakdowns and calamities, relocations, cleaning, green and site maintenance, inspection and maintenance of over 400 playground equipment and purchasing resources and equipment.

Successful local pilot puts the Benelux management on edge

"That's the way it can be," is what the management at the head office must have almost thought. A maintenance manager with guts and faith in the approach of BVO had commissioned us on his own for his own location, without giving it too much publicity. Waiting for the results first, then the rest will follow. The purchasing department at the head office still got wind of this alleged 'pilot' and watched from the sidelines with curiosity and suspicion at the same time. And with the delivery of the results, the cheers were initially lacking: almost 350 thousand euros in cost savings per year is simply not credible, and that's not how it could be, according to the purchasers. The question was what we had all cleaned up from BVO and what hidden costs would be added in the course of time.

Listed company should save 500 million

A global player had set itself the goal of saving 500 million euros. In search of possibilities, she filled out various quick scan questionnaires via our website: cleaning maintenance, technical maintenance and site maintenance. After a thorough assessment within our agency, site maintenance was dropped; on the other two, BVO & Partners undertook further research. The existing cleaning maintenance appeared to contain excessive costs. The hourly rates and the number of hours used were not in line with the market. However, the contract had only recently been entered into and had been concluded for a longer period of time. Therefore, BVO & Partners, in consultation with the client, decided to focus on technical maintenance.

Manufacturer sweeps through the cleaning contract

Our client in the east of the country is a production company with several office spaces. With a view to cost reduction and optimization, BVO & Partners was asked to analyze the current cleaning contract and determine whether optimization was desired and whether cost savings were possible.
We noticed that the existing cleaning program was quite high quality. Also the delivered quality was good, as it turned out after an inspection by our cleaning specialist. It was abundantly clear that our client had thought carefully and had found an excellent collaboration with a local cleaning organization.

Radiator manufacturer turns the temporary employment sector upside down

Being able to count on qualified and motivated temporary workers throughout the year is of vital importance to our client, a radiator manufacturer in the south of the Netherlands. Depending on the market situation, between 20 and 70 flexible colleagues are needed each week. More than ten temporary employment agencies proposed candidates, many of them hardly suitable, difficult to motivate or not very loyal.

Roofing company optimizes fleet: reduction of more than 2 million Euros

The vehicle fleet of our client, a roofing company in the middle of the country, counts about 250 cars. For sixteen years this was in 'good' hands with a renowned car leasing company. The costs amounted to 2.9 million euros annually. After intervention by BVO & Partners, exactly the same vehicle fleet was budgeted for less than 2.5 million euros per year; a reduction of more than 2 million euros over the entire term, while the contract and conditions have improved considerably.

Optimisation of maintenance results in casually high annual energy reduction

At this large hospital in the west of the country, BVO & Partners has implemented its concept on maintenance management. According to the BVO methodology, the new contract is based on performance and result-oriented effort obligations, whereby the maintenance contractor has no commercial interest in malfunctions and repairs. The contract also regulates the management and updating of all technical information files, including the technical drawings. The multi-year planning and a multi-year budget, as well as the management and execution of the legally required inspections and certificates to be maintained, are also arranged. In addition, the contract provides for the delivery and management of a legionella management plan and an energy plan. In addition to an important quality improvement, the re-tendering of the integral maintenance resulted in an annual cost reduction.

Wholesale in the food sector optimizes contract management

Successive internal reorganizations made cost control and centralization of contract management within this wholesaler a must. On the way to an efficient and high-quality administrative organization, the internal customer satisfaction turned out to need extra attention. Together with BVO & Partners, the Support Services division has worked systematically to measure and improve services management and contract management.
